El Balneario de la Palma  Spain  Die Another Day (2002)

After visiting Raoul, Bond travels along a road in the ‘fast car’ Raoul provided, eventually arriving at the ‘El Palacio Hotel’. He walks out towards the rear of the property and enjoys a Mojito and the view provided by Giacinta ‘Jinx’ Johnson. After spending the night with Jinx, Bond uses one of the hotels guests to gain access to the exclusive DNA clinic where he knows Zao is hiding.

As Bond checks into a hotel on the beach, he enjoys a Mojito, whilst checking out the island of Los Oreganos across the water containing the DNA clinic. Bond then notices Giacinta ‘Jinx’ Johnson emerging from the sea onto the beachHoney Ryder style. She then walks up the beach and into the outside area of the hotel where Bond comments on the magnificent view.

Castillo de Santa Catalina Spain Die Another Day (2002)

Whilst Bond and Giacinta ‘Jinx’ Johnson enjoy a Mojito, the castle can be seen in the background.Bond uses a annoying hotel guest where he is staying to gain access to the exclusive Los Oreganos island. He cleverly manages to avoid the guards at the entrance to the DNA clinic, and finds the hidden access door. Looking through the rooms, Bond manages to find where Zao is undergoing his gene replacement therapy.

  Buckingham Palace London Die Another Day (2002)

23 years later that Buckingham Palace is actually seen in Die Another Day. Buckingham Palace is mentioned briefly at the end of Moonraker when a NASA technician tells an observing M and Sir Frederick Gray that the video feed they are about to see is also being patched through to the palace. No doubt Her Majesty finds out more that what she bargained for when she sees a weightless Bond and Dr Holly Good head weightless under the sheets.

Houses of Parliament   United Kingdom  Dr No (1962), Goldfinger (1964), On Her Majesty’s Secret Service (1969), The World Is Not Enough (1999), Die Another Day (2002) and Casino Royale (2006) The Palace of Westminster (or Houses of Parliament as it’s more commonly known) has featured in a number of films, usually in an establishing shot identifying London as the location. Perhaps the most famous appearance is during the boat chase during the pre-title sequence of The World Is Not Enough.

 

Guggenheim Museum Bilbao Spain The World Is Not Enough (1999)

At the beginning of the film the Guggenheim Museum is seen briefly in the background as Bond travels to meet Mr Lachaise at the Swiss Bank, and also appears after Bond has escaped.Bond visits this Swiss Bank ‘La Banque Suisse de L’Industrie’ in the pre-title sequence of the film to meet Mr Lachaise, and recover Sir Robert King’s money. When things get heated, Bond uses the Stun Walther P99 to gain the upper hand. He then holds Mr Lachaise at gunpoint to get the information he needs. However, before he can do so, Mr Lachaise is killed by the ‘Cigar Girl’. Bond then makes his escape from the office by attaching some window blind cord to himself and one of Mr Lachaise’s unconscious henchmen. He then jumps out of the window, with the body slowing his descent. Bond then calms walks away passing the Guggenheim Museum.

 

The O2 London The World Is Not Enough (1999)

After the money bomb explodes inside MI6, Bond makes pursuit of the ‘Cigar Girl’ in her Sunseeker through London in the Q-Boat. At the climax of the chase, Bond meets back up with the Cigar Girl in front of the Millenium Dome. When Bond fires two torpedoes at the Sunseeker, it forces the Cigar Girl to drive her boat ashore, where she steals an ascending hot-air balloon. Bond makes his pursuit, and manages to jump onto one of the balloons ropes as it takes off. Rather than give the name of her employer, she ruptures the gas tanks, forcing Bond to let go, causing him to tumble down the dome (actually a mock-up atPinewood Studios).

Los Callejones de Las Majadas Spain The World Is Not Enough (1999)

After familiarizing himself with the Elektra King case and the threat from Renard, Bond travels to Azerbaijan to protect her. He arrives at this pipeline construction site, where he meets Sasha Davidoff, and shortly afterwards Elektra arrives by helicopter.

Bardenas Reale  Spain The World Is Not Enough (1999)

After killing Sasha Davidov, Bond meets Dr Christmas Jones, who while not completely convinced about who Bond is impersonating, tells him to where his colleagues are waiting for him. Bond then proceeds down the bunker, where he encountersRenard. Bond and Christmas just manage to escape the bunker after Renard detonates an explosion, before we see the whole location explode.

Hotel Atlantic Kempinski Germany  Tomorrow Never Dies (1997) A few scenes were shot here, but one of the most memorable is the stunt scene in which Pierce Brosnan – or rather his stunt double – climbs from the Atlantic Suite to the globe on the roof of the hotel after Bond killed Dr. Kaufman. Present were, besides Pierce Brosnan, the German actor Götz Otto, the director Roger Spottiswoode and a crew of 150.
